The dirt road becomes a narrow path. Stones. Forest floor. Birds singing. The branches of the deep green fir trees frame the path. Surrounded by nature, it goes up. Step by step. Clear view of the Tyrolean mountain landscape. A short breather with an imperial view. This Koasa March combines sporting efforts with an incomparable nature experience.
The Kaisertal valley, awarded to Austria's loveliest place, and the Kaiser mountains will once again be the host to the legendary Ebbs Koasa March on June 20. "3 Trailrun distances 4 Hiking routes, 1 common gaol" is the motto of the 51th competition. The trails lead across alpine terrain or through the pristine valley along the river Inn. Seven different courses in total are provided for hikers and mountain runner.
Alpine terrain. The supreme discipline for sure-footed, patient mountain lovers. This year’s highlight is once again the "40th" Classic Hike, the long distance hike of the Koasa March. 33km. 1,730 vertical meters. Less challenging but rewarded with stunning views is the "20th" Mountain Hike. The hike covers 21.1km and 1,000 vertical meters. Anyone wanting a leisurely hike, the two valley walks covering 12 or 5km lead along the foot of the Kaiser mountains.
Demanding. Enjoying. Stunning view. Last year's Ultra jubilee run is passé, but there is again the marathon with a fantastic 44 kilometers and 2100 meters of altitude in the program. Back to the roots at the KOASA Classic Run. It makes the hearts of all trail running friends beat faster and follows the course "40th" Classic Hike. 33km across the Kaiser mountains. 1,730 challenging vertical meters. The ideal trail for those who want to approach the marathon from the half marathon. The KOASA Hell Ride is over 20 km, almost a half-marathon that lures you through the mystical "hell" with more trail parts than in the past years. A grandiose, energy-sapping ascent at the beginning: the first six kilometres include a 1,000 m climb over the Musikantensteig.
The local orchestra Ebbs will perform on occasion of the 51th Ebbs Koasa March. The folk dance group Ebbs will also be part of the programme. A marquee is provided and culinary delights as well as party atmosphere guaranteed.
