“The Eight Seasons - VIVALDI meets Piazzolla"
The Süddeutsche Zeitung described the Italian guitarist and quartet founder Aniello Desiderio as “the most amazing talent of the last decade”, and in his homeland he is reverently known as “Il Fenomeno”. At the age of eight years he performed his first public concert, and almost overnight catapulted into the line-up of greatest guitarists of the century. Aniello Desiderio’s Furioso quartet: The Desiderio brothers – Aniello (guitar), Gennaro (violin) and Gaetano (piano), as well as drummer Salvatore Minale. “The Eight Seasons - Vivaldi meets Piazzolla”: “Le Quattro Stagioni” by the classic Baroque master Antonio Vivaldi meets the “Cuatro Estaciones portenas” of the Argentinean tango master Astor Piazzolla. “The 8 Seasons” of the Neapolitan Aniello Desiderio and his quartet offers plenty of excitement, such as the unusual line-up, for which the composer Raffaele Minale arranged the popular sheet music, and the explosive enthusiasm and virtuosity of the players. A musical fireworks of emotion, which perfectly combines the best elements from various Epoch!

"Memoria de los Sentidos"
With a tribute to the legendary guitarist Paco de Lucía, in “Memoria de los Sentidos” the multiple award-winning flamenco star and Grammy winner Vincente Amigo will perform live in the Festival Hall Erl for the first time. With guitar, bass, percussion, vocals and dance, the ensemble dives deep into the unique soundscape of flamenco, and enchants the audience with their phenomenal creativity and skills, paired with a high degree of sensitivity.
Called “the greatest guitarist alive” by Pat Metheny, Vicente Amigo impresses with unprecedented dexterity that is always in service of musical expression. Depth and expressiveness characterise his playing, which features a love of experimentation. Although he is clearly rooted in flamenco, at an early age Amigo explored the crossover possibilities of fusions and collaborations. He has worked, for example, with the Argentinean rock, folk and jazz musician Pedro Aznar, and the Algerian Raï star Cheb Khaled. Vicente Amigo’s playing and compositions impress with their fiery virtuosity, noteworthy charisma and the magical moment of the “duende”.
He will bring the legendary dancer Antonio Molina “El Choro” to Erl as part of his sextet. A fascinating experience for all fans of flamenco!
