A traditional festival on the green Inn River

The Kufstein city centre bustles. The smell of traditional delicacies fills the fortress city. Suckling pig turns on the spit.Traditional brass music fills the upper town square. A few more steps on the cobblestones between the houses, down to the historical flair of the lower town square. Party atmosphere to the sound of rock music. And watching over it all is Kufstein Fortress, the symbol of the fortress city on the green Inn River. Kaiserfest Kufstein.

A festival for the whole family

Schnitzel restaurant. Coffee house. Doughnut stand. Tyrolean delicacies. Beer tent. Wine hall. Five stages for music groups of all styles, performances by traditional costume associations. Children's entertainment. The Kaiserfest Kufstein is a festival for the associations and the whole family, which turns the entire city centre into a fairground.

Festival schedule

Traditionally the festival starts at 11:00 am with a gun salute from the fortress and the first slice taken out of the ox at 11:30 am. At 12:00 noon the Heroes' Organ, the open-air organ at Kufstein Fortress, plays a concert. Then the band marches in at 12:30 pm and at 1:00 pm the mayor taps the beer keg.
