Bringing home the cattle like in the past
The many cows and calves that have spent summer on the alms around Thiersee come back into the valley. On both days there is a festival for bringing home the cattle, with a farmer's market at the village square in Landl. Culinary specialities from the region. Musical accompaniment by the Bundesmusikkapelle Landl. Whip crackers. Schuhplattler. Flag throwing. There is also a children's programme awaiting young guests. Living traditions surrounded by Tyrolean Mountains.
Schedule of the cows
The traditional coming home of the cattle from the alpine pastures starts in Thiersee at the village square in Landl at 11am. On both dates the event will be opened with the arrival of the local village band Landl followed with a concert.
