Drinks Trade Moser: Claudia's Instinct for Fine Drinks
Claudia Moser-Neururer has dedicated her business entirely to enjoyment: In her beverage distribution in Niederndorf, customers find not only selected wines, sparkling Prosecco, cool beer, and non-alcoholic favorites, but also regional foods that perfectly complement a good glass of wine.
Since 2013, Claudia Moser-Neururer has been running her drinks trade in Niederndorf. She took over the business from her father. “This step was obvious for me, as there was already an existing customer base, and I was familiar with the subject.” She has added an excellent selection of Austrian wines. “My father only offered beer and non-alcoholic drinks. But I am a wine lover myself, so it was fitting.”
Personal Consultation is Key
Claudia's customers also appreciate her passion for selected wines. What is particularly important to Claudia? Personal consultation. The contact with her customers and also with her suppliers brings Claudia noticeable joy. “Many are surprised when I still remember which wine they bought last time.” With her small store, she feels very fortunate to be personal. The entrepreneur takes every wish seriously, even if the customer does not ultimately find what they are looking for. For Claudia, it is nice when interested parties drop by the store to get inspired and taste. “I advise, but I don’t want to impose on anyone. There are already plenty of wine experts,” she says. “My philosophy is: We all have different tastes. And just as we women or men wear different perfumes, we choose different wines.”
“The Summer Freshness”: Favorite for Mild Summer Evenings
Depending on the season, true customer favorites develop in her drinks trade. In summer, among other things, Claudia’s “Summer Freshness” is included. “These are particularly light wines, a dry white cuvée and a semi-dry Zweigelt rosé. Both are optimal for warm temperatures and contain only a little alcohol. It’s a wine that brings good mood and embodies joy of life,” Claudia enthuses. Before the COVID pandemic began with all its restrictions in Tyrol, Claudia invited everyone to a wine tasting in front of her store every May: a fixed date for many of her customers – and hopefully possible again soon.
Experience and Gut Feeling
Claudia Moser-Neururer carefully chooses her suppliers. “Samples and inquiries reach us constantly. In Austria, there are about 20,000 winemakers! I rely entirely on my own judgment. What do I like, do I have customers who might be interested in this product, does it fit into my range? And of course, price plays a significant role.” Claudia sources her selection of wines from a firm core of Austrian winemakers from various regions, all of whom supply directly, as well as from a winemaker cooperative. In terms of beer, the resident of Niederndorf relies on “Bavarian,” particularly on the well-established house brand Flötzinger: There has always been a personal connection with the family-run business. “The beverage range also naturally includes other brands, so to speak Bavarian/Austrian!”, she says.
Regional Specialties and Good Wine: The Best Combination
In addition to the wide beverage range, Claudia also offers selected regional foods in her specialty shop that pair well with her wines. “This includes fish from the Quellfisch-Resort in Schwendt and cheese from the Fritzinghof in Ebbs. I know both producers personally from the farmers' market in Ebbs.” Additionally, Claudia offers wine pastries from the Erler bakery for sale. “Last year, I noticed how much customers appreciate that. The trend of shopping regionally has also caught on with consumers,” Claudia happily notes. “I also notice this at the Ebbser farmers' market, where I am regularly represented.” For her, supporting small, regional stores is especially part of regionality.
Claudia's customers mainly come from the neighboring villages and the region. But she has also made a name for herself beyond the district borders and into the neighboring Bavarian country: “Most customers come through word of mouth or recommendations.”
Beverage Delivery Service and Support for Parties and Events
Shopping with Claudia is not only possible for private enjoyment but also for parties and celebrations: The larger the event, the more lead time is needed for planning. “For smaller celebrations, we can usually deliver on short notice, but for larger events, we need a little lead time and the support of the brewery. But we always do our best.”
With her drinks trade, the entrepreneur also offers a delivery service and pickup for clubs, catering businesses, or alpine huts. All information about Claudia's service can be found online at www.getraenke-moser.at.
