Schwarzrieshütte is located to the left, on a rise in the middle of the alm area, of the so-called Trockenbachtal. At 970 m, the Schwarzrieshütte is directly on the Bavarian border, and thus the most northerly mountain hut in Tyrol. There are multiple access options from both the Austrian and Bavarian side, and it is therefore recommended for both family hikes and also more experienced mountain hikers. There are simple paths along forestry and alm roads (including some that are suitable for prams), as well as multi-hour hikes through the surrounding mountain ranges. Two officially declared mountain bike routes lead directly past the hut. In fine weather you can treat yourself to a coffee and freshly baked cake on the terrace in front of and around our building. We serve fresh products daily - naturally from selected partners in the region. Anyone who likes things a little more hearty can try our tasty light meals - alm milk cheese, smoky bacon and freshly baked bread are all especially tasty on the newly redesigned terrace. Various hot meals and changing daily specials, such as game stew (hunted and prepared ourselves) round off our offers. While the adults treat themselves to a cool drink, our younger guests can play on the playground with sandpit and swings while remaining within sight of their parents.
Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, except on public holidays.
