Zur Linä - Bierol Taproom & Restaurant - Schwoich

Since 2018, the Bierol Taproom & Restaurant has held a Gault Millau Haube, which they defended once again this year. Thomas Moser, the chef behind the creative variety of individual dishes, recounts his career as follows:

"In my culinary journey, which began in my childhood, I discovered the magic of enjoyment. Even at a young age, I enjoyed surprising my family and friends.

After my time at the Zillertal Tourism School, I took a detour to Sigwart's Tyrolean Wine Stube - a year full of flavor adventures. Then, I continued through the gourmet worlds to Fankhauser Alexander in Hochfügen and to Christian Bau in Germany. Eventually, the homeland called me back, and I worked as a Sous Chef at Sigwart's Tyrolean Wine Stube for three years, during which we earned back our second award through hard work.

In 2016, the Bierol Taproom & Restaurant opened its doors, and I practically entered as head chef with the cooking utensils ready. In 2018, I earned my first award - a kind of accolade for my culinary adventures. And, joking aside, we work hard to prove every year that the award is not just a fancy hat but the result of fresh creativity and sophisticated gastronomy.

My motivation? To give guests a very special 'Aha' moment. And sure, I dream of awards, points, and maybe stars soon. But the most important thing for me is to get the maximum out of the best regional products with love and dedication. Because every meal should convince visually and in taste."

In 2004, the first private brewery of the Kufstein district was opened at Stöfflhof in Schwoich. The unique "Bauernhofbrauhaus" with a distillery became known as a gastronomic attraction in the Tyrolean Unterland. The former cowshed was transformed into a tasteful guest restaurant with a very special ambiance in 2016. Bierol Taproom & Restaurant was born: freshly tapped craft beer from 8 taps, the finest regional cuisine with that certain something, and always a little something for the ears.
