During a hike in the forests of Kufstein west of the Inn River, you may well come across the Locherer Chapel in a clearing between the fortress town and the neighboring village. The small chapel is a place of faith, but also a place with history. The water of the spring in front of the prayer house is wonderfully refreshing and gives strength. After an easy hike of about 20 minutes from Egerbach and in about 45 minutes from Kufstein, you reach the Locherer Chapel, situated in a forest clearing. Benches invite you to linger in the midst of nature, in the shade of a chestnut tree.
