Madersperger museum - Kufstein

The inventor of the sewing machine – Josef Georg Madersperger has been honored with a museum dedicated to him in his birthplace in Kufstein, on Kinkstraße, called the Madersperger Sewing Machine Museum. An audiovisual presentation tells the story of the life and work of Josef Georg Madersperger. Initially, only J. Madersperger knew about the usefulness of his machine. No one else was interested in acquiring his invention. Therefore, Madersperger donated his first functional sewing machine to the Polytechnic Institute in Vienna. Today, his invention is indispensable, and the people of Kufstein have dedicated a museum to the inventor and his machine.
