In 1926, the Festival House in Thiersee was built for the holding of the Passion Play. From the outside, the building appears inconspicuous. But the sonorous interior impresses. The masterpiece takes place above the heads of the visitors. The vaulted ceiling is a special construction - a combination of static necessity with artistic architecture. The tradition of the Passion Play has been alive in Thiersee for over 200 years. The Passion Plays take place in this town every six years.
