Tour description

Return to the origins. Enjoy the forest, the water, the meadows and immerse yourself in the common history. The Ursprungweg, which is just under 52 kilometers long, leads from the Bavarian Wörnsmühl near Fischbachau via Bayrischzell and the Ursprungpass to the Tyrolean Riedenberg and on to Thiersee.

Section Drachenthal: Wörnsmühl - Fischbachau, 7.7 km, approx. 2:20 hrs.
Along the way, beautiful watering places and sunny meadows invite you to linger. Along quiet forest paths you pass sawmills and a disused flour mill. Arrived at the sports field in Fischbachau, the water experience awaits you and you also learn more about Europe's largest rodent, the beaver.

Getting there From Miesbach, take the St 2010 to Leitzach and then the St 2077 to Fischbachau.

From Irschenberg, take the B472 to Jedling, then the St 2077 to Hilgenrain, then the St 2010 to Leitzach and finally the St 2077 to Wörnsmühl.

Coming from Bad Feilnach, take the MB 22 to Hundham and then the St 2077 to Wörnsmühl.

Coming from Bayrischzell, take the B 307 to Aurach and then the St 2077 to Wörnsmühl.
Public transport You can reach Munich from all over Germany on long-distance trains operated by Deutsche Bahn. From there, take the Bayerische Oberlandbahn to Fischbachau station. From the station, take bus line 9552 to Miesbach and get off at the Wörnsmühl stop.

From Bayrischzell you also travel by train to Fischbach and then take bus line 9552 to the Wörnsmühl stop.

From Miesbach, take bus line 9552 to Fischbachau and get off at Wörnsmühl.
