Ski touring area Zahmer Kaiser

Further information

Tour description

In the little brother of the Wilder Kaiser you will find several ski tours that will make your mountaineering heart beat faster. Although it is no longer one of Munich's local mountains, you can reach the starting points within 1.5 hours by car from Munich. The experience is always rewarding.

The ski tours in the Zahmen Kaiser have different starting points. Either you start at Kölnberg/Ebbs, a little lower in Durchholzen or in Schwendt near Kössen.
There is a slight lack of refreshment stops along the ski tours, as the tours lead very high up where there is no winter supply.
A ski tour is a great experience! However, when touring into unsecured, open terrain, you should entrust yourself to an experienced mountain guide. Detailed tour planning is essential. You can find exact tour routes in the Alpine Club's map "8 Kaisergebirge", which is available in shops.
Click here to go to the DAV online shop.

Before your tour, find out about the current weather conditions and the latest avalanche report at www.zamg.ac.at & www.lawine.at or call +43 512 508 802255.

For the good of nature, please pay attention to the forest-wildlife protection areas so that the animals, weakened in winter, can go foraging in peace.

The Kufsteinerland Tourist Association accepts no liability whatsoever for the designation of the touring area. They only serve as an aid in planning the tour. The decision whether or not to go on the tour lies with the hiker himself.
