Past the petrol station and the local museum of Niederndorf, you reach the Hechenberg within 30 minutes. The forest path is accompanied by hand-painted stations of the cross. The chapel at the Hechenberg, called "Maria Heimsuchung", was built in 1778. Worth seeing are the baroque bell and the classical altar, made by Josef Stumpf in 1848. Then via the forest path to the stone pit and further turn right to get to the farm Hinterhaunhold. From here you follow the signs to the snack-bar Behamried - continuing via Pittlham back to Niederndorf.
