Tour description

A tempting destination in two ways. This moderate tour leads up to the mountain inn Ackernalm and to the highest alpine dairy in Tyrol. The delicacies from Tyrolean cuisine taste even better with the view over the Thierseetal valley and the Kaiser Mountains!

From the starting point in the center of Landl, this tour initially follows the main road towards Bayrischzell until reaching the toll booth. Turn left there. The route continues along the toll road, initially through the forest past the unmanned Stallenalm to Ackernalm. Despite being asphalted, the steep route is demanding and requires good fitness. After a stop at the mountain inn Ackernalm, Austria's highest alpine dairy, continue with another short, steep ascent to Grabenbergalm. From there, descend through a short section of meadow and then follow the winding forest road back to Landl.

Continue
