An enticing destination in two respects. This moderately difficult tour proceeds up to Berggasthof Ackernalm which is the highest alpine cheese dairy in Tyrol. Delicious Tyrolean treats taste all the better while you enjoy the superb views!
From the starting point in the centre of Landl this tour at first leads along the main road to Bayrischzell up to the toll gate. Turn left there. The route proceeds along the toll road, initially in the forest via the Stallenalm hut (closed) to the alpine hut Ackernalm. The somewhat steep route takes riders through a diverse cultural landscape with superb views of the mountains of the Tyrol lowlands. After a refreshment stop at Berggasthof Ackernalm, the highest-located alpine cheese dairy in Austria, there are two options to choose from for the descent. Back via the sealed road and the toll gate, or via a short but challenging climb to the Grabenbergalm and then via the Riedenberg forest road back to Landl.
