Tour description

An adventurous journey over the Erlerberg to idyllic alpine meadows and mountain forests with some challenging ascents. In the end, the inviting Kranzhornalm awaits with Tyrolean delicacies.

The festival stronghold Erl offers great recreational potential in the mountains. The tour starts at the parish church in Erl. The route leads over the Erlerberg through the Gaisgraben, past the Kranzhorn parking lot, steadily uphill. Shortly after the parking lot, you pass by the Hintermoar Alm on the right, continue uphill until just before a barrier where you turn left in switchbacks steeply uphill towards Kranzhorn. You ride through the idyllic Spadau-Alm area to the last strenuous ascent to the serviced Kranzhornalm.

Tip: From the Kranzhornalm, the approximately 20-minute and relatively easy ascent to the summit is worthwhile. At the top, besides a beautiful old chapel, a magnificent view of the Inntal awaits.
