This panoramic tour leads along above the entire Thierseetal and promises a fantastic view of the Wilder Kaiser as well as the Thiersee and on foehn days even as far as the Central Alps.
Starting from the Raiffeisenbank in nostalgic Vorderthiersee, the tour heads towards the Armona Medical Resort or Dreibrunnenjoch. The route continues via Hausern, past Gschwendt in the direction of Breitenau to Modal. Continue via Kranhof and Ebenwald to Riedenberg. From there via the forest road to Landl and on to the Ursprungpass. Here, turn right at the barrier and follow the forest road for 9km up to the Trainsalm with a magnificent view of the Wilder Kaiser as well as the Thiersee and, on föhn days, as far as the Central Alps. From here you return to Schmiedtal via the main road to the starting point. Not far away, you can treat yourself to a home-distilled schnapps at the Stix distillery in Thiersee as a reward.
