'Die Piefke Saga' from Felix Mitterer
"The Piefke Saga" from FELIX MITTERER in Thiersee
In order to be able to live out the passion for acting even in the passion-free time, the association repeatedly performs intermediate plays - like this year's "The Piefke Saga".
Tourists were enraged, Germans felt made fun of. When Felix Mitterer's "Piefke Saga" was first broadcast on Austrian television in 1990, the satire caused outrage. Thirty years later, the four-part story about the relationship between native Tyroleans and German guests enjoys cult status and is, in a way, part of Tyrolean identity.
In addition to Georg Juffinger, Silvia Egerbacher-Lechner and Hans-Jürgen Stege as the Sattmanns and Martin Sieber and Anton Mairhofer in the other leading roles, the local music band will also be on stage.
Written by Felix Mitterer, directed by Norbert Mladek.
