XXL ADVENT CALENDAR Opening 2025 Monday, December 1, 2025 10:00 a.m. Forecourt of the Volksschule Stadt elementary school, Kinkstraße In 2002, children from Kufstein's schools and kindergartens painted 24 window pictures, transforming the front of the Volksschule Stadt elementary school into a giant Advent calendar. From 2016, the beautiful motifs had to be stored in the basement for building safety reasons, before being rediscovered in 2023 and reinstalled with modern lighting technology. Now we are celebrating the beginning of Advent with stories, songs, all the children and parents of the VS Stadt and Hans-Henzinger-Schule schools and the Stadt + Arkade kindergartens – and we are looking forward to seeing colorful lights shining again every day of Advent!
