Eleven teenagers, two strange characters and a school with many secrets. At the St. Margarethen - Boarding School for International Communication (SMIIK for short) there is never much going on. After the summer vacations a new course starts: Musical. Eleven young people from different age groups take part and what starts as an exciting school afternoon quickly leads into chaos: power failure, a locked door and nobody left. Or is there? Something sinister is going on, but no one can quite put their finger on it.
The crisis situation brings to light sides of the students that they prefer to keep hidden in everyday life. Do I think of myself first or of the well-being of the group? And are my friends worth more to me than the others? Friendships are put to the test and some have to face their inner fears.
Over a period of four months, 13 young people between the ages of eleven and 23 have been working on the theme of "Light and Shadow". Through the development of their own characters and the creation of the story, as well as the design of the set and lighting, they have intensively explored all facets of theater. The result of this joint journey can be seen from March under the title "Irrlichter" at the Stadttheater Kufstein.
