WHO AM I - The Short Film Festival Kufstein goes into the sixth round!
Since its successful premiere in 2018, the Short Film Festival Kufstein is a must-attend event in and around the region of Tyrol. The festival is a business project of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol and is organized by students of the international master program "Sports, Culture & Eventmanagement". In November 2023 the event series goes into the sixth round! We live in a society where we often feel compelled to wear different masks or present certain versions of ourselves - be it out of pressure to conform or simply because we don't yet know who we really are. In a modern, digitized world with various social media, it is easy to wear and change different masks. This year's edition of the event focuses on cinematic visions on the theme „WHO AM I?". The program explores questions such as: What kind of masks do we wear? Why are we not able to show ourselves without these masks? Do we create societies full of illusions? In this program we address the issues of diversity, social media, social pressure as well as identity and how these determine our thinking and our selves. We want to show that the beauty of people lies in their diversity and encourage them to show themselves without their masks and accept everyone as they really are, with their own beliefs, values and experiences. To achieve this, we as a society must ask ourselves the question: Who am I really when the masks come off?
