THE ART OF SOLO with the 2 outstanding instrumentalists Ian Ethan Case (USA) + Yegor Zabelov (BLR/POL) live at Kulturfabrik Kufstein.
Acoustic double-neck guitarist and Candyrat recording artist Ian Ethan Case is early recognized as "one of the most creative and dedicated fingerstyle guitarists in the world" (International Center for Creativity). After a decade of composing and performing across the country, largely under the radar, Ian Ethan Case introduced his music to over 6 million listeners around the world over the course of a month in 2015 with a viral Facebook video of his song "Butter II." In addition to a recording contract and promotional deals with companies such as Ovation Guitars and Boss Pedals, recent years have offered extensive touring opportunities throughout Europe and the United States, including two performances with a full symphony orchestra. Fingerstyle legend Don Ross described his live performance as "some of the most massively inventive musicianship I've evenheard/seen," while other listeners described his music as a blend of Michael Hedges, Steve Reich and Pat Metheny. "...sets standards not only in the field of acoustic guitar...he will probably rightly be considered one of the most innovative guitarists of our time." - Andreas Schiffmann, MusikReviews.de Yegor Zabelov (Gdansk) - Accordion Fighter. Experimental mix of rock accordion, avant-garde, jazz, neoclassical music and punk energy.
Yegor Zabelov is one of the most original accordion players in Eastern Europe, composer and author of music for theater performances and films. Zabelov's music can be described as an experimental blend of accordion, avant-garde, jazz and neoclassical sounds. After performing throughout Europe with his duo Gurzuf, Yegor focused on his solo career, which sometimes expands to a trio where he continues to explore his creative possibilities. He is known for creating amazing sounds beyond the usual accordion music. Zabelov himself finds influences for his compositions in minimalist classics: Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Michael Nyman, as well as Arvo Pärt, Finnish experimental accordionist Kimmo Pohjonen, and the jazz trio Esbjörn Svensson Trio. He began his professional training at the age of seven. In 2002, Yegor became a laureate of the Belarus International Folk Music Competition. At the age of 20, while studying at the Academy of Music, Yegor began to compose. After succeeding in academic music, he became interested in different genres of music, which led to projects with various Belarusian bands. He toured all over Europe with his duo Gurzuf.
