Strings in Motion

The string academy "Strings in Motion" ist an international cooperation project (Mozarteum University Salzburg, Tyrolean State Conservatory Innsbruck, Conservatorio 'Claudio Monteverdi' Bolzano), which focuses on the artistic and social commitment of young musicians. Founded in 20120 by violinist & string pedadogue Christos Kanettis (lectuerer at the Mozarteum University Salzburg & the Tyrolean State Conservatory), the String Academy has a range of activities throughout the Euregio region and cooperates with music universites and the Austrian Cultural Institute (Austrian Embassy) in various countries.

The basis of the project is the mutual exchange between talented string players - graduates and students, encouraged by dedicated string teachers. The enthusiasm for the wide stylistic range of string literature brings them togheter, as does a keen interest in string pedagogy and the artistic exploration of current social issues.
