OperettaSummer Kufstein - EVITA

From 31 July to 16 August, OperettenSommer will once again immerse itself in the world of musicals with "Evita". The musical classic by Tim Rice with the music by Andrew Lloyd Webber takes the audience on a journey to Argentina and tells the exciting life of Eva Perón, called Evita. The premiere of the musical in London in 1978 received numerous awards, including the best musical of the year. The piece also convinces with many well-known and enchanting songs such as "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" or "You Must Love Me". In addition to the classical stage play, "Evita" also became known to a wide audience through the 1996 film adaptation with Madonna in the leading role.

How to get to Kufstein Fortress:

Footpath: The venue is the fastest and easiest on all performance days, and is also accessible via a paved road, the Kaiserjägerweg, on foot (just three minutes from the town square). We strongly recommend this approx. 10-minute walk, which also offers a wonderful view of the imposing fortress.

Panoramabahn and lift: In addition to the footpath, it is also possible to use the panorama lift or the lift. Both urban transport options can be used if you present an Operetta Summer ticket valid on the respective day of the event at a special price of EUR 2.00 per person. Tickets for lift or panorama lift can be bought on site at the lift ticket and entitle you to travel up and down. The driveway to the fortress is possible one hour before the start of the performance both with the panorama lift and the lift, but the descent is only possible with the lift.

Please note - neither lift nor train lead directly into the venue. The path from the exit of the lift or the panoramic to the venue is steeply sloping and takes a lot more time than the footpath to get to the venue. Furthermore, waiting times may arise due to the limited transport capacity of trains and lifts.

Please note that you are only allowed to enter the venue one hour before the start of the game. The transport of dogs, strollers and drinks is prohibited, as well as smoking in the stands and in passageways to the bleachers. Children are only allowed to enter after the age of five. For security reasons, the authority forbids the transport of drinks, bottles, containers and other liquids into the fortress area!
