Light Festival
The audiovisual production "Voice of the Castle" is about more than just visual and acoustic experiences at Kufstein Fortress. In the truest sense of the word, it raises its voice, takes the audience on a multimedia tour through its eventful history and creates impulses to learn from the past.
The old walls have experienced a lot in the almost 1000 years of their history. Kufstein Fortress has often been the focus of history and a hotly contested object between Bavaria and Tyrol. Wars of succession, peasant uprisings, the Austro-Hungarian dual monarchy, world wars and finally came a longer peaceful phase until modern tourism. Now visitors can share in the wealth of experience of the landmark on the Inn.
The castle breaks its silence. And it is not just a voice, it will be a surprising multimedia experience. The "Voice of the Castle" light festival offers visitors an unusual, multi-sensory experience. The castle takes interested people by the hand, leads them on a tour to particularly important and emotional places and lets them participate in the lessons of history, describes Klaus Reitberger, the concept developer from Kufstein, the approximately 50-minute audiovisual foray through the fortress. Responsible for the technical implementation is the Viennese agency Lumine Projections, which specializes in large-format panoramic projections and 3D video mapping adapted to the architecture, with which buildings and spaces are artistically staged.

Several performances will take place every day.
From 27.12.2023 to 14.01.2024 the Lichtfetival starts with the first guided tour at 5 p.m.
From 15.01.2024, the Lichtvfestival starts, due to the later nightfall from 17:30 clock

Meeting point:
Meeting point for the start of the tour is at the top station of the Kaiser Maximilian panoramic cable car.
It is sufficient to be at the entrance 15 minutes before the start of your personal tour.
