genuss.tage - Schüttelbrot Workschop
Bread with a difference
Schüttelbrot is a hard, crispy flat bread made from rye and wheat bread flour, water, yeast, salt and our own ground spice mixture, which is especially common in South Tyrol, with regionally different taste and appearance. It is characterised by its long shelf life and is traditionally eaten with bacon or cheese as a snack.
The Erler Bäck owes its speciality to Grandmother Anna. She originally came from South Tyrol and so the first Schüttelbrot was baked in Erl about 20 years ago. The crispy flat cakes are shaken on a wooden board and thus acquire their typical shape and consistency.
The Workshop takes place from 10 persons. The Schüttelbrot is classically tasted in the course of a small snack afterwards.
In each case from 09.00 o'clock (duration: approx. 2.5 hours)
Costs: € 40,00 per person
