Glorious Bodies impressively shows what human beings and their bodies are capable of – and that this is clearly not a question of age.
In this charming and humorous performance, acrobats aged between 55 and 68 years – including an Austrian - take the stage and fill it with their personal experiences, their strength, and their vulnerability. All of them share a background in classical partner acrobatics. The piece, with a fine sense of nuance, approaches the question of how bodies change over the course of an artist's life – and how these changes can be embraced with dignity, art, and grace.
Glorious Bodies is a loving tribute to aging and reminds us that this process affects us all – not some day, but right now.
