Ten years ago the mostly weatherproofed Operetta Summer in Kufstein Fortress was brought to life, becoming one of the most popular and successful elements of the Tyrolean cultural calendar. With its historical surroundings, the Kufstein Fortress supplies an impressive backdrop for this world-famous musical. Accompanied by famous soloists, an excellent ballet and outstanding orchestra, the performances are an exceptional experience. The largely weatherproof cover over the southerly Josefsburg offers a unique space for a captivating sound experience.
EVITA – The musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber
EVITA is the unforgettable story of Eva Perón, the wife of former president Juan Perón, affectionately known by the people as “Evita”. Even today she is a controversial national heroine- This musical tells her story from the beginning all the way to her unexpected and tragic death. The magnificent score by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber remains unforgettable and includes many of the best musical songs of all time such as “Don’t cry for me Argentina” and “You must love me”. An international all-star cast will make EVITA an unforgettable musical highlight of 2022.
