Maria Theresia Ledóchowska – Photo exhibition in the parish hall in Sparchen
Blessed Maria Ledóchowska (1863–1922) was driven by the vision of a Christian Africa free from slavery. She devoted all her talents and resources to this goal. The exhibition shows a selection of pictures of African mission stations with explanatory texts. The photographs had a formative influence on the European perception of Africa and its people and are now considered important visual testimonies to the history of the missions.
