Blue Spring - Erl

The Blue spring in Erl, near the German/Austrian border, is a natural spectacle that is difficult to describe in words. The sun makes the water sparkle in a beautiful greenish turquoise. Branches protrude protectively over the water and the quiet splashing creates a soothing effect.

Mysterious power place
After a short walk from the beer garden of the guesthouse “Blue Spring,” you can find the eponymous blue spring in a small basin. It has been private property for many years. This is a good thing, as this beautiful spot will remain protected for years to come and give strength to many visitors.

As this unique natural spectacle must be protected from environmentally damaging and human influences, direct access to the lake is closed and not permitted. Swimming is prohibited without exception!
