The workshop deals with "difficult" topics such as integration, home, identity, exclusion, honour, sexism, violence and the search for belonging in a playful and interactive way. belonging in a playful and interactive way. His aim is to convey a peaceful message and encourage participants to reflect on themselves. Omar Khir Alanam was born in 1991 in a suburb of Damascus, where he grew up and later studied business administration. Due to the war in Syria, he had to abandon his studies and leave the country. After living in Lebanon and Turkey, he arrived in Austria in 2014 after two years on the run, where he also lived in the refugee centre in Fieberbrunn in Tyrol.

Omar Khir Alanam still lives in Austria today and published his first bestseller "Danke! How Austria became my home." This was followed in 2020 by the poetry collection "Auf der Reise im Dazwischen" and the non-fiction books "Sisi, Sex und Semmelknödel. An Arab explores the Austrian soul" and "Cowardly, lazy and misogynistic. What's true about your prejudices and what's not." In March 2024, his latest book "Gspusis, Gspür und wilde Gschichten. A Syrian discovers Austrian love life".

In 2022, he worked as a market writer for Sankt Johann. Omar Khir Alanam is now travelling the country as a speaker, workshop leader and cabaret artist and took part in the Austrian TV channel ORF1's dance show "Dancing Stars" in 2023.
