meta:morph -female textures

10 artists show new works on the subject Based on the theme that we as human beings are subject to the determining principle of constant change, ten artists have explored various aspects of this in their artworks in the upcoming exhibition at the Stadtgalerie. It is about taking a look behind the structures that determine our lives from a very unique female perspective.
The show is curated by Gerlinde Richter-Lichtblau, who selected this theme for the annual project of the Wildwuchs art collective. The first stop will be at the Stadtgalerie dia:log, followed by further exhibitions in Innsbruck, Wels and France. Renowned artists from Munich, Vienna, Styria, Lower & Upper Austria are involved, as well as four artists from Tyrol. Unusual materials are being used and it promises to be a very unconventional and interesting exhibition.
There are subtle wire objects by Margit Gärtner and sewing artworks on plaster by Anna Goldgruber, enigmatic photo installations by Christiane Spatt, nostalgic textile installations and delicate graphics by Brigitte Ameseder, abstract paper objects by Ruth Effer, ironic stone works and puzzles by Greta Znojemsky, surreal picture objects by Stefanie Ruprechter, room-filling installations by Linda Lichtblau and Christine Mich with a women-specific background, as well as humorous and critical textile works by Germana Reindl. The vernissage will take place on Friday, 2 May at 8pm in the Stadtgalerie dia:log. It will be opened by Gerlinde Richter-Lichtblau (Galerie dia:log), with an introduction to the artists by Maria Reitberger from the Kufstein Cultural Office. As a highlight, the Swiss singer and author Julia Costa will perform a short concert with her own songs and poetry.

The exhibition runs from 2 - 31 May 2025 open Tue/Thu/Fri 15-18 h, Sat 10.30-13 h
