“Once in a while a debut album comes out that will blow you completely upside down”. - Peter Marinus, Bluestown Music Originally hailing from the east coast of Australia, singer-songwriter Phillip Bracken moved to Poland in 2013. Funk, ambient roots, soul, indie-folk/rock, and world are some of the genres that emerge on his debut album, WOLF AHEAD TIGER BEHIND. A genre-bending album that brings his evocative voice and captivating rhythms to the fore. Collaborating by correspondence during the pandemic with Italian producer Silvia Furlani, the ambient album, RIPTIDE, was released digitally in early 2023, with lyrics and vocals coming from tracks like “Transcendence” and “Blow Me Up.”

In the meantime, along with friend and photographer Grzegorz Golebiowski, the Australian sat down at the piano for the first time to produce a single and video clip for “LES MOUSTIQUES,” as well as a limited edition acoustic live album “LIVE MAN // Hipisówka,” recorded during the tour in the Bieszczady Mountains. “With an intense and intriguing voice Bracken expresses himself with effortless ease.
