Christ child can be in several places at the same time as you might know already. This quality would be necessary for our guests as well because then they would not have to choose among the many Christmas markets in the region. The Christmas season can be enjoyed to the fullest as the marvellous Christmas markets, appearances of traditional musicians and traditional events give a special glow to the inviting villages of the Holiday Region Kufstein.

The Christmas market in the city park of Kufstein … in the heart of the town and located in a fabulous park, central and quiet still idyllic between trees. You find yourself between lovely decorated trees, reindeers, Christmas angels at every corner .. a Christmas oasis with tasty Tyrolean delicacies, Tyrolean handicrafts, daily live programme and a very special children’s programme.
The eyes of the small visitors are shining while driving the railway or jumping onto the merry-go-round. A ride-out on ponies, a building corner and barbecue let the children’s dreams come true. Christmas stories, fairy tales and the story teller „Bergflunkerer“ shorten the waiting time for Christmas.

In the so-called Kasematten, a sentimental ancient masonry, you will find pure Christmas atmosphere. With the help of enchanting small stands, diverse lectures, representations and much more. It is really getting festive when it starts to get dark and the you can hear traditional Christmas music coming live from the walls of the fortress.
The Christmas magic at the fortress Kufstein is opened these days daily from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., at the 7th December from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. The fortress from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Between 4.30 p.m. and8.30 p.m.the electric lights in Kufstein town centre will be switched off. Candles, torchlights and lanterns will be positioned on the road, the paths and in theflowerbeds. Hundreds of candles and torchlights will light up the centreof the town!
Various bands will set the scene to music.
A wonderfully fun and exciting time barbecuing bread by the open camp fire awaits little visitors! Magicallight formations will have you gazing in wonder,they’ll have you racking your brain too.
A variety of tasty food from the region will be provided by farmers and Kufstein’s food establishments. They will indulge us with some Zillertal doughnuts, ‘stretched’ noodles, chestnutsand there will be a hearty glass of mulled wine orpunch to warm you up.
The event is very much influenced byfriendliness, romanceand a cosy atmosphere!
BY THE WAY - every child who arrives with alantern will receive a ‘Faschingskrapfen’, or carnival doughnut, as a gift!
