The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain
The same procedure as last time: George Hinchliffe's Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain once again delivers a good portion of British humour, virtuoso highlights and some surprises. Besides their popular hits they have many new, unexpected and highly amusing songs in their luggage, play and sing themselves through all genres. From pop, rock, punk, folk, jazz and oldies to classical music, but always in their own unmistakable style.
The outsider 35 years ago has become a much sought-after orchestra, which, in addition to international stages in Toronto, Athens, the Sydney Opera House and the Konzerthaus in Berlin, will again enchant audiences in Kufstein with its bonsai guitars. It is almost impossible to escape the charm of these excellent musicians. Despite their reputation all over the world, they have fun with the cultural elite and have no respect for individual songs that they combine across genres. But they love to laugh at themselves most of all. And they keep their musicality at the same time. An evening for heart and ear.
