Protected natural surroundings
In 1963 the Kaiser mountains were placed under conservation protection. A wonderland for hikers, summiteers, cyclists, nature-lovers. Light, strange limestone. 1000 metre high drops. Peaked rocky needles. Picturesque Alpine pastures. Gentle hill tops. Idyllic valley cuts. The region of the Wilder and the Zahmer Kaiser could not be any more contrast-rich. Hiking trails of all difficulty levels weave a network through the mountainous valleys and summits, making it possible for you to enjoy the majestic mountains around Kufsteinerland.

The Kaisertal valley was chosen as the loveliest place in Austria in 2016 as part of the '9 Plätze - 9 Schätze' initiative. The last valley in Austria where you cannot drive. It is only in the last few years that the Kaisertal valley has been made accessible by a tunnel, but only for the 35 inhabitants of the valley. For everyone else a contemplative ascent over 282 steps awaits, with a reward which is beyond compare. Natural idyll. Culinary experiences. Regional specialities. Traditional alpine inns.
