A very demanding tour on a partially rope-insured, exposed trail.
The Kaiserschützensteig is a long, alpine via ferrata with difficulty levels B/C and 1+. Not all parts of the route are rope-insured, and you will always find yourself in uninsured walking terrain. Absolute surefootedness and a head for heights are required. Also the ascent to the trail and the descent from the top of the Ellmauer Halt should not be underestimated.
You will be rewarded with 3 peaks and impressive scenic views!
