The route leads from the third largest town in Tyrol Telfs to the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck.
The stage is pleasantly flat for about 30 kilometres and always close to the banks of the Inn. The route takes you from Telfs, Tyrol's third largest town, to Innsbruck, the Tyrolean capital. From Telfs it continues through the slowly widening Inn valley to Zirl. A few kilometres further on, the provincial and university city of Innsbruck presents itself, famous far beyond the borders for its art treasures and buildings such as the Golden Roof, the Schwarzer Mander, Ambras Castle, the ski jump at Bergisel and the Hungerburgbahn.
