Tour description

The Glemmbach gorge is an almost pristine gorge in the south of Landl in the Thiersee valley. That is why it is a popular destination for adventurous hiking tours.

Wade through the Glemmbach River in knee-deep water, and enjoy a varied walk through forests, on paths or through the water as you explore the not yet fully developed gorge, south of Landl in the Thiersee Valley. Surefootedness is a prerequisite for the adventurous circuit.

The circular hiking tour Glemmbach gorge starts at the church in the centre of Landl. From here you follow in the direction of Riedenberg and at the first cross turn left to Jochberg. After Jochberg there is a fork in the path. Go left to follow the track to the gorge. A few times you cross the creek and take steep paths, which are secured with steel ropes. Below the guesthouse Wastler you leave the gorge. Start your way back west of the gorge and parallel downhill in the direction of Rohrmoos.

Requirements: Surefootedness is required. Due to the fact that passages of the tour  lead through the creek (water up to your knees) a second pair of shoes is recommended.
