Sonar with David Torn + Prozeptiq

5 years of sound colors, we celebrate! "Sedaa" in Persian means "voice" and combines the traditional Mongolian with the oriental music into an unusual as well as fascinating whole. The master singers Nasaa Nasanjargal, trained in their Mongolian homeland, Naraa Naranbaatar - known by the group Transmongolia - and the virtuoso dulcimer player Ganzorig Davaakhuu, together with the Iranian multi-instrumentalist Omid Bahadori, carry off into a truly exotic world between the Orient and the Mongolian steppe. The basis of her modern compositions are natural sounds - produced with traditional instruments and the use of ancient vocal techniques of nomadic ancestors, in which a person produces several tones at the same time. Vibrant undertone singing and throat singing Hömii as well as the wistful sounds of the horse-headed violin Morin Khuur and the pearly tones of the 120-string dulcimer merge with pulsating oriental drum rhythms to create a mystical blend of vibrations and moods.
