Shaolin Monchs - Kufstein
The mysterious monastic city of Shaolin at the foot of the sacred mountain Song Shan has been the physical, spiritual and spiritual center of China for centuries.
More than 1,500 years ago, the Indian monk Damo founded Zen Buddhism here and taught the monks physical exercises he called kungfu.
To this day, the Shaolin Temple is considered one of the largest sanctuaries and places of interest in China. Thousands of students perfect their knowledge of kung fu in the schools around the temple and live by the strict rules of Zen Buddhism.
Show producer Herbert Fechter, who has presented the original masters, students and monks from Shaolin for over 23 years with their incredible physical exercises around the world, has put together a new show entitled "A mi to fo". Therein, 19 of the best masters and shamis (students) present their incredible abilities, beyond the limits of physics.
