German ROSA BRUNELLO / LOS FERMENTOS Michele Polga - Tenor Saxophone, fx Frank Martino - E-guitar, Live-Elektronics, Drum Machine Rosa Brunello - Contrabass, E-Bass, Synthesizer Luca Colussi Drums Matter particles, which move violently under the influence of enzymes, swell and heat up, fight for a new order. Particles that are modified, decomposed, split into other similar but different particles, which in turn experience the same path again in an endless cycle. A chemical metaphor for alchemical, organic and constantly changing music. Rosa Brunello Y Los Fermentos is an impressive cross-section of modern jazz in which the quartet brings hot reggae, Latin and funk influences to bear in an enticing and fresh sequence. The compositions are very long and well developed, in which rock riffs, groove and the search for well-managed moments of collective madness dominate. Award-winning Venetian bassist Rosa Brunello studied at the Trieste Conservatory. Her musical development and playing are influenced by Charles Mingus, Dave Holland, John Coltrane and of course rock music. Great contemporary jazz, very well written and just as excitingly orchestrated and performed, are the hallmarks of Rosa Brunello Los Fermentos.
