OperettaSummer Kufstein - Die Fledermaus
From 2 to 17 August 2019, Johann Strauss's "Der Fledermaus" is an operetta classic. With well-known songs like "Lucky is who forgets, which is not possible to change" and "My Lord Marquis", the world-famous operetta captivates the audience.
With its historic ambience, the fortress Kufstein provides an impressive backdrop. Operetta lovers can look forward to a refreshing staging, enchanting talent, unique ambience and an impressive backdrop. The largely weatherproof canopy in the south of Josefsburg offers the unique setting for an intoxicating sound experience.
The fortress economy offers operetta culinary packages. The catering package includes a 4-person bar table with either a bottle of wine (red / white) or a bottle of Prosecco and 8 pieces of canapes (with salmon, cured ham and cheese). The guest should order the desired drink before the performance. Price: EUR 38, - incl. 20% VAT for a bar table for 4 people plus fees. The culinary break program can be purchased at the Tourist Office Kufsteinerland or in the webshop on operettensommer.com.
How to get to Kufstein Fortress:
Footpath: The venue is the fastest and easiest on all performance days, and is also accessible via a paved road, the Kaiserjägerweg, on foot (just three minutes from the town square). We strongly recommend this approx. 10-minute walk, which also offers a wonderful view of the imposing fortress.
Panoramabahn and lift: In addition to the footpath, it is also possible to use the panorama lift or the lift. Both urban transport options can be used if you present an Operetta Summer ticket valid on the respective day of the event at a special price of EUR 2.00 per person. Tickets for lift or panorama lift can be bought on site at the lift ticket and entitle you to travel up and down. The driveway to the fortress is possible one hour before the start of the performance both with the panorama lift and the lift, but the descent is only possible with the lift.
Please note - neither lift nor train lead directly into the venue. The path from the exit of the lift or the panoramic to the venue is steeply sloping and takes a lot more time than the footpath to get to the venue. Furthermore, waiting times may arise due to the limited transport capacity of trains and lifts.
Please note that you are only allowed to enter the venue one hour before the start of the game. The transport of dogs, strollers and drinks is prohibited, as well as smoking in the stands and in passageways to the bleachers. Children are only allowed to enter after the age of five. For security reasons, the authority forbids the transport of drinks, bottles, containers and other liquids into the fortress area!
