For many years Georges pursues night club of La Cage aux Folles in Saint Tropez. Famed star of the frivolous and glittering-fluorescent travesty show is Georges' a life partner Albin who inspires the audience as a Zaza. Now son Jean Michel, a "youthful folly" of homosexual Georges who was brought up by the both affectionately has found the love of his life: a girl called Anne.
Nevertheless, the announcing marriage has a hook: The father of the fiancées, a politician and ultraconservative custom guard, would like to get to know before the parents of the future son-in-law. A well middle-class-honest facade has to go as soon as possible here, and Georges must still solve a basic problem: Where from a "right" mother take? Yes, and where meanwhile with Albin?
At last after big confusion, heart pain, love and a lot of comic a happy end announces itself.
