Jambinai (KOR) + Support Act Driveby (A)
"Postrock" on classical Korean instruments and with electronics. This is the denominator, if you want to make it easy for yourself, Jambinai's music from South Korea, which has been causing a sensation at European festivals for two years now, could be brought to this denominator. Classical Korean instruments set the tone, almost meditative. The sound swells, becomes more intense, mixes with electronic loops and explodes in rock riffs, metallic beats and psychedelic post-punk - a fascinating mix of tradition and modernity, the confrontation of Far Eastern traditions with Western pop culture: these are Jambinai, according to "fRoots" "one of the best live acts on this planet right now", of which the band recently played here at Haldern Pop, Fusion or Rudolstadt Festival and at first club shows as well as internationally at all important European festivals Zeugis: Jambinai play traditional Korean instruments like the Haegum, the Piri and the Geomungo, but also electric guitars, and they use electronics. Their performances are eclectic, intense and explosive and have brought them a strong fan base in Europe in a very short time.
Their second album was released in June 2016 and is called "Best Album of 2016" (Uncut). Her 3rd album will be released in uni 2019: "Entrancing and overwhelming Post-Metal. Jambinai combine elements of very different worlds in a captivating way". (Musikexpress, 5 stars) As a support act "Driveby" from the Tiroler Unterland will get the audience in the right mood with powerful and melodic progressive rock.
