Bartolomey & Bittmann „Meridian“, Concert
Bartolomey & Bittmann "meridian" - Tyrol premiere! Modern classical period in the old saw work.
These are the desire in the common developing of new sound pictures and the respect for the sound of her instruments which has brought together both Austrian musicians. The Viennese cellist Matthias Bartolomey and the Grazer violinist and Mandolaspieler Klemens Bittmann new musical buildings establish with her instruments anchored in the classical music. Jazz aesthetics as well as grooving and rocking elements are a pillar of her self-composed pieces whose rhythm brings the base to the vibration. Also the cellar mayn't be absent in her new building: Your sound draughts have even more depth, are worked out even more detailed and further caught. Besides, they have also not committed themselves this time in her architectural style. You give to every epoch her space - from the classical period up to elements of the rock 1960s till the 1980s, to modern jazz, folk, pop and chamber music. Every attempt to assign them to a certain style, fails. However, firmly stands that they tell with an extremely very eventful and atmospheric quality musical-strange stories which tie up.
»Seldom one has heard the string players who dedicate themselves so with relish to the grooving. Bartolomeybittmann sum up every musical virtues fleet-footed which one usually doesn't connect with classical instruments: Uncontrollable play desire and radical rhythm.« Wolfgang Muthspiel
