The most beautiful panoramic mountain in the Tyrolean Unterland - the Hohe Salve - 1829 m high
Reaching relaxed breathtaking mountain peaks and sunny heights with little effort – made possible by two modern cable cars. The stunning 360° panoramic view is one of the most beautiful in the Alps. The views on the Kitzbühel and Zillertal Alps, the Tauern, the Wilde Kaiser mountains and more than 70 three thousand meter peaks impress every visitor.
You can stop for a drink and snack in one of the numerous cozy alpine lodges and/or visit the highest pilgrimage church in Tyrol, which is closer to heaven than any other: The Salvenkirche of John the Baptist. Prayers are held at the early baroque altar with figures of St. John at 11 am on July 3, 2019, August 7, 2019, September 4, 2019 and October 2, 2019.
The cable cars and mountain lifts also offer many opportunities for beautiful hikes to suit individual needs: e.g. short and easy or longer ones.
Barrier-free access: cable cars are wheelchair accessible, toilets for handicapped persons are provided at the stations. Even the way to the Hohe Salve Alm can easily be reached with a wheelchair.
Each visitor can use the parking garage located directly at the cable car FREE of charge when using the lifts (9am to 6pm), thus parking the car independently of weather conditions. You will find more information and prices under: www.hohe.salve.at
