Tyrolean festival Erl - Thanksgiving

If you look back eagerly on the past summer festivals in October and at the same time you are plagued by the impatience for the Winter Festival, we also invite you to Festspielhaus Erl this year in autumn. Free in the tradition of the Christian Thanksgiving Festival, we raise a composer to the altar, which plays a very special role for the Tyrolean Festival Erl - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In keeping with the Austrian custom of celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday on the first Sunday in October, from 5 to 7 October we will be celebrating a series of concerts focusing on the genius of Mozart. The Festspielhaus has already experienced the successful premieres of the Da Ponte trilogy and the "Magic Flute", but most recently Mozart made room for the Rossini discoveries in programming. Now it is the moment to bring focus again to the study of Mozart.

With the "Thanksgiving" Maestro Kuhn once again brings together his Festival Orchestra and the young stars of his Accademia the Montegral in Erl. Last year, the ensemble of the "Hall Opera" dedicated "Il Re Pastore" and this year is also a Mozart gem in the center of the weekend: the long-lost "Hall Opera" "Zaide", also a very early work from the oeuvre of Mozart.

Two concerts surround "Zaide": for the opening evening, the Signum Saxophone Quartet returns to the Festspielhaus and contrasts the clarinet concerto in A major.

On the other hand, there will be a festive matinee concert on Sunday, which will present three symphonies by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Thanksgiving, very Erlerisch. Thanks for the harvest, which brings forth the tireless development work of the Maestro.
