SPECIAL: Musicbanda Franui: Happiness is there

"Where you are not, there is happiness!" - With this movement ends one of Franz Schubert's most famous songs, "Der Wanderer" from 1816, "I am a stranger everywhere", confesses one who comes from the mountains and now that he has reached the seashore, a song breaks out of him. "... where you are not..." - this is the short formula of a longing that determines our lives to this day; in songs by Schubert, Schumann, Brahms and Mahler we talk about it. Franui, the 10 musicians from the small East Tyrolean village Innervillgraten, approach romantic music with its incomparable sound battery, uncover the sources of folk music inspiration and yet remain in the present. "Our musical settings," as the Franuis noted early on in their 25-year career, "are the cemetery and the dance floor. Both times are a rectangular surface in the center of attention." Between the cemetery and the dance floor, they also took trips to the local music pavilion. Once a famous song singer was announced. But he could not find the entrance to the valley. "So we had to do everything ourselves.
