PORTRAIT: ANTOINE WAGNER
Antoine Wagner is a multi-disciplinary artist, equally at home in the fields of photography, video art and sculpture as in performance and installation. His works incorporate themes of music, mythology, and even romance through a visual language borrowed from nature. He is the great-great-grandson of Richard Wagner and the great-great-great-grandson of Franz Liszt. Born in the USA, he grew up in Europe with studies in Paris, then lived for many years in New York, and since the outbreak of the pandemic Wagner has lived in his adopted home of Tyrol. He received further artistic training at Villa Medici, Robert Wilson's Watermill Center and in Rome.
