CONCERT: New Year's Concert
The New Year will be anything but "Bohemian villages"! The main works of the two great Czech composers Antonín Dvořák and Bedřich Smetana will be heard. Karsten Januschke, one of the great talents of the younger generation of conductors, will be on the podium. He has made guest appearances at the Gärtnerplatztheater, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and the Volksoper in Vienna and returned to the Frankfurt Opera for the acclaimed new production of Olga Neuwirth's "Lost Highway". Fidelio" in Bregenz, "L'incoronazione di Poppea" in St. Gallen and "Don Giovanni" at the New National Theatre in Tokyo follow. In concert Karsten Januschke works with orchestras such as the Munich Radio Orchestra, the MDR Symphony Orchestra, the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, the DSO Berlin, the Budapest Philharmonic and the Ensemble Modern.
